Bethan Foister
I have had a career in education for over 40 years. Initially I taught music to all ages, from pre-school children through to adults, before moving into primary class teaching and subsequently 17 years of senior leadership. The leadership roles encompassed; deputy headship, headship, executive headship and a designated Local Leader of Education. As a single parent of two, I have come to realise the pressures and importance of balancing a successful career and family life.
My philosophy for education and CPD:
Our deepest fear is not that we are weak. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world ...
